Anyone with a long beard running the fork deflectors? The wind that comes around the tank and up my legs when riding makes my beard blow straight up. I'm curious if the fork deflectors help with this at all.
I don't have a beard but I do wear glasses and before I put on both the fork deflectors and the fork baffle(just below the lower triple) my glasses would vibrate on my face from the air coming up behind the batwing....now with those in place I have no problem even at speeds where they will put the cuffs on you instead of asking for your autograph.
Thanks for the info. I've got the fork baffle, and it did absolutely nothing to help. Rode a friend's Ultra with lowers and still had the problem. I'm hoping the fork deflectors will help, but didn't want to waste the money if they weren't gonna at least slow it some.
They're worth it. I can light a cig at 60. Couldn't before I put the deflectors on but I put the fork and the one below the trees on at the same time so I don't know which one helped more.
All good to hear...I put the baffle below the triple tree on and that didn't change things much. Have the fork mounted deflectors sitting in a box in garage just waiting to be put on in the spring. Thanks for the info Brock!
I don't have a ZZ Top beard, but it's plenty long, and yes fork leg air deflectors do help a lot, along with the triple tree baffle on my '07 Ultra.
In the summer, tho, especially here in Ga. you will feel more engine heat with the fork deflectors.
I remove the TT baffle and fork leg gear after the temps start to climb for the year.
