??BELT ISSUE WITH NEW SPROKET help???

So I just put a new sprocket on my buddies 07 roadking. the sprocket is 4 teeth larger. when i tried to put the tire back on, i cant get the axel in cause the belt wont strech anymore. Do i need to get a bigger belt since the sprocket is now bigger?? thx

Yes you need a longer belt.

Yes you will need a new belt for that large of a sprocket, I just did a 2 tooth larger on my 08 and love it. No belt change needed, the axle and belt went on easy, but the axle adjusting cams didn't go up as far as they used to. About 3/8 of a inch less. But it works fine. They just look like their sorta pointing down now. The Sportster 68tooth is the way to go so you will not have to change his belt, cause thats a lot of labor and money.
