Default Another speaker pod question

I have a 2008 Road Glide, I installed a King tourpak on the back last year.

I just ordered Boom FLTR front speakers and Boom rear speaker pods to go on the king tourpak. No amp.

I also ordered the harness that feeds from the HK head unit at the same time.

I am trying to find out if I will need to reflash the head unit to run the rear speakers? or would reflashing the HK unit just give me fader control?

Will running rear speakers lower the maximum volume for the front speakers or are they two separate circuits from the internal amp.

I will probably have a few more questions

Any help would be appreciated.
Ken

No flash necessary; the rear speaker pinouts on the HK are "live." or would reflashing the HK unit just give me fader control? The flash is only for the "fader" control; but the fader is a nice feature to have.

HD doesn't charge the dealer to do the flash for the fader control and some dealers will do it for free since it's a 5 minute procedure if you have the bike in for some other service work. In contrast, if you had an intercom flash done, HD charges the dealer for the flash which tends to force the dealer to charge the customer for the intercom flash.

Ken, good luck with your project.

Cool thanks.
I have been searching for the last couple days and haven't found a solid answer.
