I've got to say that Pez at Hogtunes provides outstanding customer service. I ordered a set of rear pods and speakers for my RG last Wed & sent payment on Thursday. I got home from work today and the man in the brown truck had dropped the box from Hogtunes. Talk about fast shipping. Pez answered all of my questions and gave me an outstanding price. I've got the Hogtunes amp & front on my bike now and in the next day or so, the rear pods are going on.
Thank you Pez. I wish more vendors provided the level of service and support that you do!
How do you enable the rear speakers with the Hog Tunes setup? The HD speakers require the dealer to enable the speakers with a software flash to the radio.
The Hog Tunes amp has a lead that goes to the rear speakers. The radio plays through the amp to the front and rears however only the front speakers are amplified.

There is no enabling as far as I know. I used their amp and there is a lead that runs from the amp back and the rear speakers plug directly into that lead. Moco tax is up there by the time your done "enabling" the rear speakers and adding pods etc. Not sure but I think I read somewhere it'd be almost 1K to do it on my RG which is crazy.
I'll jump in here if you don't mind. I've had the Hogtunes set up on my Classic for about 4 months now and couldn't be happier, the better half is also. I was really concerned about mounting the pods but that turned out to be a no brainer. The sound is great, and depending on the music I can hear the sounds from the rear speakers when I don't have anyone sitting behind me. It's a good mod all the way around.
Yes dealing with Hog Tunes is always a pleasure. I had one speaker go bad after a year and Pez sent me a replacement the next day. You can't beat the customer service. Wish others I dealt with had the same customer service as Hog Tunes.
