Putting the Fuel Moto head pipe and Screamin Eagle AC on my new Limited before taking delivery. Need to do something to address change in air/fuel. Dealer suggested download or Street Tuner. I chose Street Tuner so I am positioned for addition of pipes and maybe cams later. I thought there was only one tuner from Harley but I have just realized there is Street and Super Tuners. What is the difference?

Screamin' EagleŽ Street Performance Tuner Kit
The Screamin' EagleŽ Street Performance Tuner is designed to simplify management of street-legal performance calibrations as EPA-compliant performance modifications are made. Once installed, the kit will allow the dealer to upload the latest ECM calibrations for your bike's legal state-of-tune for only a minor labor fee. Start with a high-flow air cleaner and Street Performance mufflers, and the dealer can upload the calibration that provides the best performance mix. Add a Big Bore Stage I or Stage II kit later, and the dealer simply downloads the proper ECM calibration to match the model and hardware. Plus, the dealer will have on-line access to the latest factory calibrations, so they can load the most up-to-date parameters whenever you have your bike service.
The Street Tuner provides your dealer the ability to upload EPA compliant recalibrations as they become available or as you reconfigure your motor/air cleaner/exhaust.
The Super Tuner allows you or your dealer to adjust thousands of your ECM operating perameters as in dyno tuning.
If you have decided the EPA compliant recalibrations will get you where you want to go, buy the Street Tuner. I doubt if that idea will get any/alot of support on this forum.
If you want the flexibility of dyno tuning your bike now and in the future I'd buy the Super Tuner or the PCV from Fuel Motto.
The street tuner is a turd if you want performance. For getting performance out of an HD or any internal combustion engine for that matter, the EPA is the enemy and HD knows it. That's why they came out with the street tuner, to satisfy the EPA and the race tuners to satisfy the consumer who desires performance that EPA compliant vehicles can't achieve.
The new street tuner part no 41000008B allows the user to download available maps of his own liking that are included within the software of this package.
I was wondering the same thing last year. I was going to get the street tuner to save some money. When I went to buy it, I changed my mind at the last minute and got the race tuner. I'm glad I did. When I go on trips with different climates, I can just plug in my race tuner to my lap top and make changes as needed. It also allows for my shop to make better custom maps for my bike instead of just downloading a pre made map they may or may not work.
the Super tuner has no maps loaded, but does have a large library in the software of maps. It will change timing and VE's and you can adjust the Acceleration enrichment, cranking fuel, Decel enleanment, AFR's, injector size, Engine size, Idle rpm, IAC warm up steps, Warm up enrichment, and probably half dozen more parameters. Street tuner only fuel within EPA limits or so I have been told.
