I have a 2006 Ultra with a Zumo 550 attached. The volume on the aux input isn't very loud when u r on road. Any suggestions?

I use the Aux input for my MP3 player and have also noticed that the volume is lower. Is there a volume control on the Zumo? If not you just have to turn up the overall volume as there is not a setting for that input like there is for intercoms.

Cool

turn the volume up on the player and then use the radio volume, it will be louder unless you have an amp.

I have a 550...... turn up the volume on the Zumo all the way. If it's still not loud enough, there's something wrong with your radio. the Zumo is "slightly" quieter than the radio.... but not much.

I have the same problem: Zumo 550 volume all the way up, radio volume adjustment upward does not solve the issue. I bought some earbuds to try and improve the situation. If you find any fixes relating to this please let me know.

Make sure that your intercom is OFF. That knocks the AUX volume down by about half.

Less volume when using the aux jack is the nature of the beast.

I use the aux port for my iPod. What I do is turn the iPod all the way down. Then turn my stereo to about 4 bars from max. Then I move the Ipod volume to the loudest I will listen to music. Then use the stereo volume to adjust if I want it lower. Seems to work well, don't see why a GPS would work any different. Saves battery life on the iPod too if you don't max the volume.
