Default Oil problem

Just did an oil change on my 2008 RKC. But now when I refill it it shows that when I put just 3 quarts in that it is over full. It has been lowered in the back 1.5 but that is it. What is up with that?

How much time passed after running the bike an checking it? It takes a little bit for the filter to get saturated. That throws the level off a bit, but not 1 quart.

Silly question, but are you on the jiffy stand, or on some sort of lift with the bike level?

Two dumb questions:
1. You did change the filter right?
2. Is the bike on level ground on the jiffy stand?

A lowered bike with a stock side stand will stand the bike more upright. Place a 2x4 flat side down under the rear tire to bring it back to stock. And check the level again.

My RKC has the 12" profiles on it. I just changed my oil, added 3.5 qts and after 3 minutes of run time it showed low. I added the other 1/2 qt of oil and it read full.
