Hey Postman,

No, I didn't try that. I didn't think that would have anything to do with the problem, but as soon as I read your post, out to try it I went. Alas, it didn't work...

Thanks for throwing out a possible solution!

2.95v might not be enough. I think fully charged is a bit over 3v. I've had them go bad in less than a year.

Good point Steve, and I have to say, since I just had it towed down to the dealer I HOPE that doesn't turn out to be the problem. That would be one expensive 3v battery!

I will repost all of the symptoms and what needed fixed once I get it back so others reading this will know. Of course if it turns out to be a FOB battery I just may sit here in embarrased silence!!!!

Thanks again Steve.

OK, I read through all the responses.....The security system is part of the turn signal module. My guess is that is the culprit, since you said the turn signals also don't work. If you can dig down to the signal module, try to reseat it. It may have not have been fully plugged in, and worked itself loose. It could also be a faulty module.

Either way it would account for all of the symptoms you described.

Now as to where the turn signal module is located....... because I don't have a clue.... just ask my wife.

Yeah, sure Shooter, NOW you tell me after the bike was towed But you are right, Section 7.5 page 7-8 of the manual says where it's at and the fact they can't be fixed, only replaced. So unless it was loose, it would have to be replaced...if that is the problem. Doesn't say how to test 'em. Glad it's under warranty.

Thanks for the response!
