I emailed Custom Dynamics and asked if the model they are now selling uses 6 LEDs for the low beam. Here is the reply:

Hi Jim,

Yes, item 2261 (in stock) runs 6 LEDs on low and 10 LEDs on high.

Phase 6 Truck-Lite LED Headlamp

Thanks Jim, I just placed an order with CD.

Wow that is really aggravating when CD told me something completely different. In fact I had to wait three days for a callback so the girl could find out the answer.

Trucklite LED

Ordered the passing lamps and (new version 6) 27250C headlight. Both on ebay
Headlight $220 and 2 passing lights $199. Trucklite for the excellent daytime visibility and ok nitetime. Just a bit cheaper than MOCO setup.

Ordered LEDs for the whole bike. Signals, brakes, Tourpak Kit from Ridetime.
