There is no extension for the stand as to making it stand different from harley. The jiffy stand extension is simply a longer tab so it is easier to get your toe on it to put it down. Here is how the discribe it;

Jiffy Stand Extension Kit

This kit has been redesigned to add convenience and style to our existing jiffy stand. Polished and chrome-plated, it installs easily and includes all chrome hardware.
That extension is AWESOME - so much quicker/easier - you gotta get one.

I installed the extension and it took about 15 minutes. Have asharp drill bit. Drill a smaller pilot hole first. Thejiffy stand steel isvery hardas it should be.

I don't remember if it was this forum in particular or one of the others here, but a guy recently put an extension on his stand and started to get a mysterious clank when going over bumps in the road. I don't recall if he ever followed up (don't you hate that?) but we figured it was probably the jiffy stand dropping down against the now-not-quite-strong-enough spring, then rebounding.

Point is, if you put extra weight on the end of the stand it might not stay as tight in its upward position without addressing the spring tension.

The lean is there for a purpose. with your bike on the jiffy and wheel in lock position. stand on the right side floor board. The bike does not come over on you. if you use a stand that lets the bike be more verticle, standing on right side floor board will allow the bike to come over.
Can't say I believed that....so, just back in from the garage, I'm now a believer.

Yep, wife always boards from the right side while I am on the stand. It is so much easier and safer.
