DO NOT use household cleaning products on your bike. Too many reasons with examples to try and cover now. Do you brush your teeth with Preraration H ? I have been using Mothers products since 1980 and have discarded a ton of products thinking something might be better. I have never liked Turtle Wax but someone on this forum described their BLACK BOX. Got some, used it, as directions said and it brought my black paint to a shine I had not seen before. Several applications of the detailer seem to keep improving the shine. Never use a sponge to wash the paint, I like cotton wash mitt. Never rub paint with a T shirt material. 100% cotton terry cloth or miracle cloth which is not cotton but the good ones work. Do not use poly blend cloth. Hold a thread to flame and if it melts, discard the rag. If the thread flames up, that is the cloth to use. Remove the tags from the good cloths, they may not be cotton. Of course advise it like A holes ain't it?

Soap and water (soap made for cars - like Turtlewax brand) and then wax it with Eagle One Nano wax. Easy and a great shine. I use the Nano wax on both my cars too. Buy it at Advance Auto or Auto Zone. $6-7.
NXT wax
nano wax for the chrome (leaves no residue on black engine parts)
nanowax soap for quick cleanings (comes in concentrate. mix in a spray bottle and use microfiber)
Looking for suggestions on best swirl remover. Have a couple very fine swirl marks you can see when the sun is just right. Not sure how they got there but I want them gone.
Collinite's #845 Insulator Wax on all paint, chrome and wheels. I have been on 2 wheels for damn near 45 years and this stuff is the best I ever seen. No residue, last damn near forever, protects and makes cleaning with Wizard's detailer a breeze. Once waxed my bikes dont see soap again because all I need to do to wash is hose it down, microfiber dry and detail with Wizard's. I wax 2 times per year.
