Okay, get 100 posts, move up to 'Prospect', get a little cocky and start answering a question here and there ... and now I have to post a DUMB one. Feel free to flame, I can take it [sm=boink3.gif].
Could somebody explain to me what PCIII is?
I tried a search but sooo many hits with people saying how great it is I can't find WHAT it is.
This is becoming too much like my first wife ... everyone has it but me !!
It's a power commander, basically it allows you to change the fuel and timing to your engine. It's a little box you plug into your bike so you can talk to it with a lap top. They have different MAPS based on what pipes-air cleaner or mods that you have made. In the old days you had a carburetor that you could change jets etc. The power commander kind of turns your fuel injection into a carburetor so you can make changes.
Also look at SERT (Screamin Eagle Race Tuner). There are lots of discussions about both.
I do some car tuning but haven't touched the bike. I know what will happen if I start to mod the bike! The same that happened when I started to mod the car. I got hooked and couldn't stop. We should have a support group for those of us that suffer that addiction.
Dumb questions are the ones you didn't ask but should have. LOL.

Thanks all, PCIII seems so common here that I felt "dumb" asking, but this is the reason I want to stick around this forum ... everybody seems like they are willing to help! [sm=hail.gif]
