My first HD was a 2005 heritage. The aux lights shut off when I switched to high beam. I could see much, much better with the headlight on dim and aux lights helping. I need to put aux lights on my SG.
I have the Headlight and aux all LED's and I can't go back to standard lighting, I think it makes that much of a difference anybody have any LED warranty or failure issues yet?
I am running MOTO Lights, very well made, look great and makes you seen Day and Night. At night they light a wider area in front of your bike. Check out webside motolights.com.
Not cheap but worth the money.

+1 on the Motolights...agree on all points...plus, they are small and mounted low on the front forks so they don't clutter the look of a SG's fairing area.
Auxillary lights can throw off a heck of a lot of light. The HD lights that clamp on the engine guards are outstanding, bright, easy to install.
if you don't have an engine guard or have an Ultra with lowers, like me, Weekendconcepts.com vizor lights are the cats asssp. I mean these things are bright! And they look great and last a long time.
