Default Need Advice!

I have a 2004 Road King Classic with S&S 510 gears and K&N air filter.
I am adding ThunderHeaders this weekend. Is a Power Commander a good choice to tune my bike? or should I use a SERT? If I use a Power Commander, should I also change the Ignition Module to single fire? Any advice will be appreciated!

My choice would be a PCIII combined with a qualified, experienced dyno tuner!

Thanks for the advice. I am in California and I am concerned that I won't be able to find someone to Dyno my bike. I might have to do it myself that is why I was going to use the Power Commander.

Call Jamie at www.FuelMoto.com. He has an awful lot of satisfied customers, including me, with his pre-programming of the PCIIIusb. You will be pleased. The HD SERT is a good alternative, but an expensive one.

use to be the sert was better as it was infinitely programmablke but the pc has pretty much caught up. more shops can deal with the pc3 than the sert. it is 6 in one hand and a half dozen in the other.i have a sert but that was best 3 years ago when i set up my bike. today i would probably go with a pc3.

I bought my bike used and did not know that the previous owner had a race tuner installed. The module that I need for the SERT is missing so I have to purchase another one. If I go with a Power Commander will it be able to overwrite the SERT? Or do I need to purchase another SERT? I am hoping I can use a Power Commander from Fuel Moto! And thanks to all of you for trying to help me!

I would go with the SERT, but both are good.

I have a PC111 on my '04 RKC and really like it. Your bikes ignition is already a single fire. The newer bikes came from the factory with it. I'd go with the PC, but everybody has their own preference.
