I dunno if it's still this way, but I found that the SE adjustable pushrods don't adjust far enough to remove them. This was LESS THAN HELPFUL when I wanted to replace a worn, leaking O-ring in one of the pushrod tubes. Having to pull the rocker box to replace a 25 cent part is ridiculous. Changed mine to an aftermarket set with enough adjustment so it was no longer an issue.

Not all adjustables are the quick-install type, although all three that are currently in the 2011 SE catalog are so labeled.

I have personally done two cam installs with TC 88s. I have used the SE adjustable pushrods both times. The only problem i had was somtimes i had to loosen the lifter cover to install the adjustables. Other than that they were GTG.

According to JIMS and Zippers, lifter service life is 20,000 miles. Emailed Jims and asked service life on their JIMS Power Plus lifters and was told 20,000 miles. If you're in the cam chest, do 'em. Otherwise run them until they fail. My dealer told me the SE lifters have had problems and the stock units have been trouble free.

I swapped in a fresh set of liters at 28K just because I had a spare set in my toolbox. The ones that came out were cleaned and inspected and saved for another day. I like using solid pushrods instead of adjustables whenever possible.

This may be ok for the racer or guys hard on their engines but those companies are in business to sell parts. 20K is a little extreme even for me.

From what I understand the Andrews 54 is very similar to the Woods 555. I got my 54's on ebay, brand new for just over $200.00 with free shipping. With SE adj. pushrods & new stock lifters you should be well under $600.

I'm just finishing up with a TW-555 install using the SE adjustable PR's. All is good so far. Andrews grinds the Woods cams btw (according to another member)

I am in the middle of doing my cam job on my 07 road king and found that the cam tensioners are worn out to the point of almost having catastrophic failure...good thing i opened her up!

Default Cam job

Lots of opinions on here, so heres mine..Just installed 7H Woods cams in my machine last week. Now keep in mind it wasnt long ago everyone on here was saying that the Woods cams were noisy..My machine had about twenty thousand on it so, I purchased the woods lifters and fuelmoto pushrods..I can tell you this..It is quieter than it was stock, and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The quality of the pushrods are unsurpassed, and the Woods lifters on a Woods cam were a no-brainer for me..Adjusted out 20 flats after bottom. This seemed to work great for me.Total $613.00 cams and all parts and gaskets. Bought the cams off here used low miles. Am very happy with the install and a damn site cheaper than the stealer..Scooter
