I was coming back from the Laughlin River Run and was running my '91 Heritage hard on the 40. I must have overheated the engine and caused a back fire through the S&S carb because the foam aircleaner caught on fire. I look down and there were FLAMES leaping up through the tank and my right leg. I pulled over and put the fire out and limped home to LA on one cylinder. It turns out I burnt a rear valve.
Everyone was laughing at me saying that while some folks pay for a flame job on their tank, I was the only one who had real flames,.....LOL!
