For me its comfort over looks..........I could give a Rhatz Azz what
anybody thinks of my bike.
And I'm definitely not trying to convert anyone from a Batwing
to a Sharknose......
I'll ride 700 to 800 miles round trip for a good Que'....if I happen to
see ya on the road or at the same eatery, I'll wave or strike up a
conversation with ya....
No they're ugly, they ride terrible, don't buy one, the chicks won't get on it, your hair will fall out, you can't hear the stereo, your dog will run away, never catch a cool guy on one, it was such a bad move, it will make you depressed, too expensive, they look terrible with apes! I've heard it all, guess I better not get one!
Got to admit it myself I didnt like the road glide at all, but they have grown on me a bit. I like when they have apehangers
I still wont buy one though.
I agree; just how many total RG's were sold in the 0'10 model run compared to the bat-wing? Would like to see a comparison of all the bat-wing specific models to the RG. Did the RG outsell any one specific bat-winged model? 'Far-superior' seems like a stretch, especially when I read comparisons of the two bikes. Neither one walks all over the other, so I don't see how that makes the RG 'superior'. Aren't both bikes running the same chassis?
And I'm not against a frame-mounted fairing: I had three of them many, many years ago, Honda Goldwing's and Vetter Windjammer fairings. All those that have RG's should enjoy them; no real point in slamming bat-wings...
