Do the springs come in black?
Hey LionSM13 - Yes, the springs come in black. I originally ordered black, but decided I wanted that obvious Ohlins yellow that catches your eye if you happen to peek behind the bags. Howard suggested it and I ended-up agreeing...it's not like you see them easily...but you notice it if you're looking.
If I had your money, that's what you'd see on my ride.
Buy 'em from Howard at Motorcycle Metal, and he'll treat you right price wise (and build em up to your specs). Yeah, still not cheap...but better to get it right with the best first IMHO.
Put the Ohlin's on Dec 29th,over 800mi later, all smiles. Major improvement over stock. Thank you Howard ! I have the black springs. The gold cans have people asking if it's NOS ... lol New front end soon! Winter sucks in Ytown

Yes, I have black ones on mine. Bear in mind you can't really see them with the bags on!
Cecil, sgnden and I both have Howard's #3-3 (by the look of it). These are the first shocks on my bike which do NOT bottom out any time, when my wife and are loaded up to the gunnels on tour. It is still a novelty to know we are about to hit a hole or something and come away from it having not suffered! These things really are great.
