Default how to measure a windshield for a SG?

Hey guys,
I'm looking at swapping out my stock windshield for a flare one...I recall seeing somehwere a way to measure the height that you need. Supposed to be inline with your mouth or something????
Anyone know or have an idea to offer up?

I am 6'1" and just went with a 7" Freedom on my FLHX, I know higher would be better for air deflection but I wanted the best look and the best air deflection I could get while maintaining the Street Glide looks. I know this doesn't answer your how to measure question but this will be my 3rd windscreen, 6 1/2" HD and 12" HD have also been on my bike. The short HD looks good but buffeting was fairly severe the 12 HD looked horrible and the buffeting was still there, with the 7" Freedom(and its a recurve) the buffeting is very reduced and I like the look and the price.

You want to be able to have your line of sight so you can look over the top of the shield. A shield height btw your nose tip and upper lip is a good height and will in most shields usually give good wind deflection over you.

Put on 9" LRS Ultra and had the Xtreme 8". I could have easily gone to a 10 or so cause I can sere a good couple inches or more over it. I have a 32" inseam and 6 1/4 tall on a C&C seat. The Ultra is great for my needs, this last year I had to Have a Trachyotomy done due to sleep apnea so I had to find a shield the worked just a bit better.

at 6'1" with 33" inseam, I tried the 6" windvest with the curved trailing edge, and it worked pretty good to move the turbulent air just over the top of the helmet. Then I went up to an 8" dark windvest and it's even better, with no vision obstruction. The mouth height measurment is a good guidline, but you may decide a little +/- depending on your personal preference.
