Default Engine Oil
What weight engine oil for a 2009 Street Glide with 10K miles in Southern California--10W40 or 20W50? BTW I plan to use Red Line in all three holes.

20W-50 is what is used for So Calif - maybe 20W-60 in the hottest areas in Summer. So Calif never gets cold enough for 10W40.

20/50 will work just fine. look through your owner's manual and that's what they suggest.

Yes and most straight 60 wt syn rates out at 20w/60 anyways. They also make 25w/60 petroleum if a person has the need or want for such an animal.
