i think this topic has been covered, but i can't seem to locate it. i am installing the new split inner fairing mount mirrors and i recall seeing a thread with regards to mounting them a little higher than the factory template suggests. does anybody have any opinions or suggestions? thanks in advance for any responses.

 

If I were doing it again, I'd have gone up 1/4-1/3" or so.
