depends on your priorties.
I have said that this is going to be the last motorcycle I will buy 7 times now.
yo can buy a roadglide ultra and put an additional 10 grand in it to make it what you want and come trad in time it is still a roadglide ultra. or buy the cvo have it already done from the factory with a full warranty and have a higher trade value when hd comes out with something that you absolutly must have
do you want all the CVO chrome without buying it piece by piece ?
do you want just a stock CVO 110, or a specially built motor ?
is the CVO Paint Job just what you like ?
do you need or will you use the heated seat & grips and more, now stock on the CVO Ultra ... ?
if your really rich you could use a CVO as a base bike & mod that up to your higher standards ... at great financial loss later (trade in), which may mean nothing to you ... $$$ ... are you planning to keep this bike for 10 or 20 years ? or plan to keep up with the MoCo Jones ?
If your asking us - then your not sure how to spend $ 25 - 40 thousand ... you should be absolutely sure exactly what you want before spending that kind of money - sucks to buy something and then realize you really like something else better, even if it's just a color ...
I looked at HD's for 2 years, everything I could lay my eyes on ... then ....
I WAS SO SURE ABOUT MY 2009 ELECTRIC ORANGE CVO RG !!!!!!! I went 2500 miles to find one after they were all sold out -
but that's just me - I can't imagine another bike better than my current ride - long term keeper for me for sure - and most people who see my bike are in agreement with me
I rode the RG CVO a few weeks back and the next day my buddie went down and traded his Heritage in on it. That was the only CVO in stock so I took a Roadglide Ultra out fior a test ride. Not even close to the CVO. If you got the money, go for the CVO. I've got over $30K in my limited and it's still not even close to a CVO.
