Thanks for all the good advice. The gentleman that I bought the bike from was its second owner and he didn't know what he had. He was an old Paratrooper with shot out knees and pretty slight frame that bought way more bike than he could handle. He told me that he only rode it about a thousand miles over the 3 years he had it. He couldn't even get it out of his garage to show me, I had to do it(on second thought that may have been a sales tactic). At any rate, I'm sure the work was done by a dealer based on the apparent consistency of HD products. I was unaware that my local dealer might have access to the records based on the VIN. I'll give them a call and see what they can tell me!
As far as my service in Afghanistan, I was happy to serve my country and I really appreciate the your kind acknowledgement. I don't feel worthy of the gratitude that the PATRIOTS of this country have shown me. The men and women who did not make it home DO deserve your gratitude. NEVER FORGET!!!!
