I recently added the chrome engine kit from Harley to my Standard. Now when I shift into 5th gear the neutral light comes on but everything is running fine. I took the sensor out of the top cover of the trans and cleaned it with some brake cleaner. Re installed it and went for another ride around the block. Still have the same issue.
With the chrome engine kit I had to remove both covers on the trans (top and side). Could I have something off. The next step is to replace the sensor. Any ideas?
