There is another new option which is the Revolution Performance EMS as well you might want to look in to. fI avhe not sued either on my bike so I cannot help with real world experience on either but have many happy customers with each. http://www.revperf.com/Precision/index.html
Tried twice, once on 07 RKC and on a 09 FXDC, not happy ether time, cant get the timing right. Will never use again, first time switched to SEST this time TTS, very happy with TTS.
Wrestled with a Tmax for 3 years, not my cuppa tea. Have SE Pro tuner now and after 1000 miles new on bike will have it dyno tuned and see where that take me.
I think this is an important factor: If you have good tuners in your area, that can tune the tuner you pick i.e. like the Tmax, that would be a great help to dial it in; i did not have a tuner that could tune mine. I hear TTS is a good product and there is the Power Vision.
I haven't had any issues using the TMax. But had the dealer tune it for me. Had it on my Fat Boy and now the SG. But there are several good options out there as others have pointed out.
I have one on my '07 FLSTC. Its okay but nothing to write home about. If you get one you better be prepared to learn how to tune with it. Its hard to find anyone that knows anything about them. At least in my area of the woods. Just my .02.
My 08 Throttle by wire Classic loves it. Just finished a new build, 103, heads, pistons, cams, exhaust, intake... the whole 9 yrds. Pulled it all togeather with a ThunderMax. After the base map install the bike fired immediately, sounding great. Now have 300 on the motor now and the unit is learning and establishing the appropriate fuel off-sets to keep the AFR consistent. Best piece of the build I'd say since so much depends on the electronics and fuel management these days. After 1000 I will dyno the build.
No lookin back for me. (Use to have long lasting affairs with carbs...so sweet...but my T-Max is a charm)
Love mine. No issues at all. It really woke my bike up after my cam and gearing change. It will do A LOT of things. It is a must to read the book and do things slowly. I won't waste money on a Dyno for an extra couple horses. My money will be spent elsewhere. Go with it, you will love it.
