Corbins are ridiculously expensive but worth it IMHO.

If you want a deal, be patient, and/or consider buying a used seat with backrest then keep the backrest and sell the seat.

If the "Harrison" is the one sold on ebay for $99, check the feedback there for HD owners' comments.

Good luck with your research.

Here's the thing, I bought an awesome used seat from a member here for $100. I can't bring myself to pay more for the backrest, then the seat. I've been looking for used ones on ebay, but the ones in nice shape are selling for close to $200 with shipping.

I am also looking at seats with backrests as you suggested, but I keep getting snipped on the auctions in the last seconds.

I may need to just bite the bullet and buy one for more then I want to spend, just want to make sure it's worth the money.

OK, I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and pay the cash for one of these. Now I need to know/see a couple of things.

First, Anyone have pics. need to decide between standard 297 SB, Oval Back 02-SB or the gunfighter style (GB / 02GB)

Second, Anyone ever try to die the the leather on these black? I found some on ebay with red accents on the side panel, and one with a snake pattern.

Seeing that I have a smooth Black seat on a blue bike, I don't think either will match.

Well, I bit the bullet, bought a new oval back. still sickens me that it was more then the seat. I found a brand new one on ebay for about 25% off Corbin prices.

Aghhhhhhh! I may be having some buyer remorse. It better be worth it.

I just bought the small Harrison backrest and think it's more comfortable than the Corbin model (had it then sold it). The Corbin doesn't have much padding where the Harrison does. The vinyl is thinner but it still looks and feels ok.

For the adjustment screw I removed the allen screw then went and bought a stainless steel socket head screw and black plastic knurled **** made for socket head screws and replaced the allen screw with that. Looks like it belongs on the backrest. Now going down the road I can lean forward and reach back and adjust the angle of the backrest like you can with a Mustang.

For the price I really like it. Figured if the vinyl tears I'll have it recovered.

I'll try to get some pictures posted if it would help.
