I may be off base here but..... I have heard that there is a site that you can go and download upgrades for your bike such as auido and setting to your computer, and then transfer them to your bike thru the cd player.

is this accurate or am I thinking of something else

Yes, go to the HD web sight and locate the HK radio accessory and the updates are on there.

Looked all over the H-D site & could not find any upgrades for the CD/Stereo......

However the HD HK updates will not work on your 2005 unless you paid to have the 06 / 07 Advanced Audio System installed.

They will not work on the stock 05 radio. Different vendors.
