MP3 Question
Careful - if you get the HD OEM Roadtech one like I did for my 05 Ultra - it only reads up to a ~ 555 meg SD card ~ 120 songs.
In other words, you'll end up having multiple cards. Get something else!!!

1 Gb is the biggest one I have tried. I have enough songs on it, so I haven't gone bigger.
The player does have some issues with even the 1Gb card, though. eg. when you shut off the bike and start it again it is supposed to continue on the same song. Mine will do that up to about song 180 or so. After that it reverts to a lower numbered song. My cure is to poke random mode, then hit <next> until I get a high number, then shut off random mode. If I am riding for a couple hours at a stretch, it really isn't a problem.

I bought a 2 gig SD card this past weekend planning to double my song inventory on two wheels.
But I could not fit anymore MP3's on the 2 gig versus the 1 gig SD card. And I tried numerous SD readers/writers - NO GO.
It will max out at about 600 meg of MP3's no matter what.
Problem as I understand it - the FAT file system limits the # of or size of files in the root directory.
And the HD MP3 player doesn't allow subdirectories and can't read FAT32 or NTFS so you are basically screwed.
ALL my songs (thousands of them) are MP3's. Don't want to hassle with converting to .wma's. Rather have multiple SD cards.
I find it hard to believe that this Roadtech unit is sophisticated enough to be able to handle another type of format - are we talking the same unit???
If I had to do it again, I'd look for something different - probably would get a new CD/radio that could handle MP3's.
This EXPENSIVE sucker only lists the song number - no info, no skipping ahead, no grouping, etc..... VERY ARCANE!!!! PRE-HISTORIC. VINTAGE 1999.
Just trying to give advice to fellow forum members - DON'T BUY IT!!!! You'll be sorry - eventually.
