So now that I have my new bars installed, Chubby 575s my fist is right in the center of the field of vision of the stock fairing mount mirrors, I like the idea of fairing mounted mirrors, anybody have the kuryakyn blind spot mirrors that mount to the fairing any other ideas? Thanks
I just bought a set of the kuryakyn blind spot inner fairing mirrors off ebay. 144.99 shipped. I will start a thread after I get them on and use them. I was having issues with my stock mirrors on my 07 sg. I also found a set that harley makes they are called split vision fairing mount mirrors. in the 2011 hd catalog part # 92085-10. I saw those for $85 online. The kuryakyn were a good deal so I went with them.
I've heard that the remedy for this is to drill your mirror holes a half inch higher than where they are currently at. I plan on doing that so that I may maximize my handle-bars when I put them on. I also bought another set of mirrors that are not as long top to bottom but stick out 1.1/4 inch further than do the stockers. Wicked Image Fast Lane's. They are really nice too.

I have the Kury blind spot on my Ultra and I love them. Much better than the crappy plasticky SG mirrors. The big differences are 1) they're chrome and not black plastic 2) they're fully adjustable and the swivel can be tightened (not the SG ones), 3) they extend a little bit further out so you get better visibility 4) they have integrated turn signals which is an add-on for the SG mirrors, 4) the wires run through the studs and don't require a second hole in the inner fairing.
What about drilling the mirrors a little bit lower? Any body done that? I installed 10' Monkey bars and would like to stay with the fairing mirrors if possible. They kind of work but not real well. If I could get them a little lower it would be good; otherwise I will probably have to go to perch mount mirrors upside down. I don't want to have to plug the holes in my painted inner fairing.
Thanks, DD
