take a look at the picture. After installing the PYO bars the brake line is sort of pointed at 7-o-clock. Can I loosen the bolt slightly and rotate the fitting so is pointed more towards 5-o-clock. will this fitting be under pressure and brake fluid squirt out. I have also heard that if you crack the seal on any part of an ABS system that it has to be reset on the dealers computer.
I was in the same predicament and I knew by loosening the bolt I chance air induction into the brake system (there is no pressure in the system unless you squeeze the brake lever).
So what I did was have my wife hold some tension, not too much, on the brake lever then loosen the bolt just enough to move it then quickly re-tighten the bolt. Worked perfectly and only a few drops of fluid came out but I'm sure no air went in. Don't forget to make sure you use rags for any fluid the drips out and check your fluid level when your done.
As long as there is no pressure being applied or released, nothing will happen. Just slightly loosen and clock it to the correct position. No air will get in your system.
