I just did the rear air shocks and only have been out twice (solo) since the change in oil, the problem I was having is when riding two up the rear would bottom out even with air pressure up around 40.
What I did notice is a firmer ride, not stiff or harsh dampening, just a little more firm, still very compfy, I am still trying to find the sweet spot for the air pressure, right now 8lbs (solo) and feels pretty good versus the 18lbs I used to run with the stock oil, haven't tried two up yet but I am almost sure it will be a nicer ride for the wifey.

I'm thinking of going changing my fork oil soon and am considering going with the SE Heavy which I've read is a 15W. I would appreciate any opinions/comments from members that have changed from the original fork oil to the SE Heavy on the older touring frames.
This is what I used. A bit stiffer but that is what I wanted. Got it for $7 at of all places, a Honda dealership. But their only 1/2 mi. from my place.
I recently changed my fork oil on my 2010 Limited at 10,000 miles to Maxima 15 weight cost about $9 bucks. Rides a little firmer, not as much nose dive under hard breaking.
The hardest part of the job is getting the little drain plugs loose. Oil was pretty dirty, highly recommend changing every 10,000 miles or at least intervals at every front tire change.
I also saw the post of Harleys fork oil weights and copied it down type e = 5wt type b=10 wt type se =15 wt I have seen many people post that type e is 10 wt and type b is 5 wt and even maxima is wrong I believe I wish some one would make all manufacturing fork wt oil companies adhere to a standard Harleys 5 wt is not the same as belrays or even maximas 5wt go figure !!! does it make a difference hell yes unless you take the trouble to keep getting to your fork caps to remove the oil you thought would work to replace it with another brand or a different wt fork oil ! I am replacing my e type oil with belray 7 wt hoping to remove some bottoming out problems if belrays 7 wt is lower in viscosity then Harleys e type then im screwed . I know my luck so I will post my results after I finish adding the bel ray and go for a ride .
