Default Baffle Question

Hi All,

I have a 97 FLHPi Road King. When I got it it had ugly drag pipes so I quickly changed them to a 2 into 1 with a short HD Muffler (not sure what it is or where I got it) I have a screaming eagle air filter and power commander. Got the mapping just right and have been happy with it for years. I am now going to change over to the original type system with duals (crossover/one on each side) I acquired a great set of fishtail mufflers (Heritage Springer type) for it and need to add baffles, any advice? I would very much like to not have to remap again. I guess what I really need to know is what type/size baffle should I put in to be close to stock or maybe even screaming eagle flow so that I can remap if need be? Do the baffles measure in inside diameter or length or both.... Thanks in advance for your help.

I'd call Jaime at Fuel Moto and give him your specifications. He's sent me a couple of maps for my PCIII and I've had no problems whatsoever.

Default Still Baffled (LOL)

Thanks for the reply Akroguy,

I guess what I need to know is a good estimate of the size of baffle to make the pipes close to factory. That is the problem with maps when you have a custom build, I believe the fishtails are off of a spring softail but they do not have any baffles in them at all. Seems the baffles come in 1/4 inche intervals, I just want close to stock. I am going to install my duals, take it for a test ride and if its ok read my plugs for a final confirmation. I am thinking the 2 into 1 will be close to the same flow as the duals, especially since they are not true duals. If anyone know the inside diameter of a stock baffle the may do the trick for me. Thanks

Call Big City Thunder Monster Baffles in Charlotte NC. That's all they do is build baffles they will be able to take your info and build what you need. I know they also have a website but I can't think of it right now.
