Owned a Guzzi California I think it was a 2001 or 2002 can't remember. That was one fine bike, pretty fast and handled great. As far as a Victory never rode one, Don't like the looks. I see quite a few here in North Florida. I'll stick with my Road King.

I like the way Victory bikes look, but never got around to test riding one. I imagine the resale is horrible.

Local constabulary bought a fleet of Victory's but not sure which ones. They had RK's before. I think the change was prompted by economics. Everyone is looking to save a dollar. I think they're ugly-hideously ugly in fact.

Seriously WTF is this???

They may be smoother, faster, handle better and cheaper BUT its not a Harley (and they're ugly).

If you want to ride a bike you can buy what you want and I won't disrespect anyone for their choice but for me, no way. I know my King isn't perfect but its four years old and people still stop me and give compliments. Furthermore the comraderie with Harley owners is unparalleled and can't be bought on a showroom floor.

Long story short I was on a trip in the middle of very rural Ohio on my jap sport bike in the early 90's. Stopped to look at a map and the 4 cars that passed did just that. Passed right on by. If I was stuck or needed a hand-too bad. Fast forwad to 1996 and took the same trip on my fatboy. Same stop for map check and everyone stopped to see if I needed help. "Hey man you need gas", "Hey buddy you OK? Need to use my phone?", "Hey you lost?". Three separate people stopped to lend assistance. Coincidence? I think not.

With Harley you're buying a bike and a lifestyle.
