Three torx, takes about 5 min less time if you've done it before. I got an 06 SG with a Klock Werks 6.5" Flare and love it. I'm about 6'2 and ride with a stock seat. The shield comes up between my chin and nose and I feel nothing on my face. Would def recommend this shield!
Just replaced mine with an 8 inch freedom shield from fastaire. Definately a n improvement. I added a chrome trim below the shield also. I am very happy with it,
For me: Klock Werks 6.5" Flare or 8"5 National cycles (I'm 5'6), depending on the weather.
In winter (we often have rain here), I use the tall one 95% of time.
I'm 6'2" using stock seat and the 8" clearview with recurve is great around town and long trips. Easily see over the top, but nothing hits me in the face.
I run a www.customflhtwindshields.com model,
they are 3-4" wider at the base and come in several
heights and tints. I can't say enough about Pat and
Robin, great to talk to and deal with. Check 'em out,
may not be the fit for everyone but I love the shields.
Currently ride an 07 Road King Custom that I fit a detachable screen to for long-distance tours. I'm considering trading up to a new Street Glide - is it easy to swop out the stock wind deflector for a taller one? I would be wanting to do this touring and then put the stock one back on for day-to-day riding. Also, any tips on suggested heights?
Cheers

I was just reading a thread "2011 RG Windshield" and a guy posted a link to a youtube video. I believe this is what your looking for. Good luck! http://www.youtube.com/user/ChromeWorldInc
Call Jim at www.fastaire.com . He can steer you to a windshield that you will like and his service, quality and prices can't be beat. Ride safe.
x2! Great product and great service. I am running a 9" on my Ultra. With Corbin seat, its about an inch higher than I need, but keeps a little more air off the wife. You'll find that you will not need near as much shield on the Glide as you have on the RK. The fairing and setup makes a huge difference in air control!

I'm with the Toad on this one. Having the windshield extend out really cuts the wind coming over the speakers and seems to help me hear them better. Plus it's a unique look and approach. I always get questioned about the windshield.
