Hey guys,

I have been looking back through the communications threads and haven't found a definitive answer yet. I wear a German style helmet and my wife and I are looking for the Scala headsets....

Does anyone use this setup? Anyone know of any accessories to make this work? I have heard of someone saying speaker pouches ?

Don't know aout the German style helmet but I have a Scala Qll mounted on a Seer 1/2 helmet and works great. Use the glue plate mount,long boom mic and soft helmet ears from Seer.Can't imagine why you couldn't match up to your **** paraphanalia

i had the Q2 set up with the glue mount on my half lid,scala now has a 1/2 helmet audio kit,which mounts to the strap area of a half lid. per cardo customer service,it will be available soon,it isnt even listed on their web site yet,but i have seen some venders who claim to have them available now,others say it is unavailable and taking orders...........I'm waiting to see it released by cardo......they assure me it will be very soon.
to use this new half lid audio kit you will still need to your own Q2 or another unit's headset.

The half helmet audio kit is not a myth. I don't have an exact date but I would
like to believe it will be out to our distributors by the end of April. The half
helmet audio kit will work just fine with the regular Q2 MultiSet unit. I
apologize in advance for any of the problems you have experienced with obtaining
the half helmet audio kit but I can definitely confirm that they are in fact
real, it will work with your regular Q2 MultiSet, and again, I'd like to believe
they should be shipping by the end of April. I do not have a definite
confirmation of this date, but this is the indication that I've received at this

Thank you Birch, I didn't see that kit online yesterday when I was looking, but it sounds like it is exactly what im looking for. The only reason I wear that style helmet is because I have a big head and fat face and I try to look as less ridiculous as I can! The price I pay.. I should just join a gym.

I guess we will wait to see them!! Shouldn't be too long.

 

I also have been looking for a solution to Scala Rider Q2 use with a half helmet. I came across this the other day and emailed Cardo System and got the same reply as BirchwhiteHD. I will be ordering as soon a they become available.

I have seen pictures of the new half helmet strap mount set up in ads in either the new Hot Bike or one of the bagger magazines. I'm sure it will be on their website soon.

 

I saw the same ad in bagger magazine, so i checked into it with cardo.............i can wait,still have snow on the ground and alot of salt that needs to be washed away with some good heavy rain,lol
