Default Sena SPH10H

Just got the sena SPH10H and it won't work with my HJC half helmet and it also won't work with a bell shorty. Anybody know what half helmet will work with it? Seems like a good unit.

What do you mean it wont work?

Did you get the kit with the ear buds?

I have it installed on my half helmet. it looks a bit weird when the mic boom is lowered but it works.

I got the kit with the pouches. They have a tab that tucks in between the liner and the helmet shell. I need straps that form a V.

Oh ok

I have a skid lid helmet that has the V shaped straps.

I read on their website that this unit works with most half helmets. Well I spent today going around to all the motorcycle dealers in my area with no luck finding a helmet that will work. This was the last thing I thought I would have problems with.

Well for anyone following this helmet works great with the SENA SPH10H setup. I am very pleased with the unit. Very simple to use. Works great with my iPhone and road tech zumo. Got this from Harley Davidson for $135

I'd posted another thread asking what bluetooth was best with a half-helmet, and the Sena got the best overall reviews - I was going to order one but then I looked at MY helmet and saw what you saw - that thing ain't gonna fit...

I'm thinking I might just end up using my old Arai full face to commute to work and stuff something in there, since I sure don't really feel like buying yet another helmet just to take the occasional call. Or maybe if I did, I'd get a 3/4 or a flip with bluetooth built in. Or I could just do what half the people told me to do and just turn the phone off and ride.
