Man, that's a tough piece of luck about the bearings but I'm glad you were able to get it taken care of. I know what that feels like!
Replaced the stock oil thermostat with a low temp thermostat from Wards Parts Werks. Added a set of "Hog Wings" from Long Ride Shields (they do help a good bit with buffeting on Street Glides). Then generally cleaned off the bugs.
