Default 21" wheel vibrations
OK so I put a 21" on my FLHX over the winter and now the bike vibrates like you wouldn't believe. Is this normal with a 21" or maybe it isn't balanced. What do they use for weights? I couldn't seem to locate any on the rim. I only put about 20 miles on since I got the new wheel.

That is not normal. I've had a 21" on my 07 SG for over 3 years, 13,000 miles without vibration. I suspect it needs to be balanced. On mine, they used stick on weights on the rim.

Never had one vibration on my 21"...

unless they used dyna beads, sounds like maybe they didnt balance.

Been a lot of posts like this. Took my 07 SG w/ 21/18 combo to 110 mph yesterday. Smooth and tight, no issues here.

check your tire pressure it should be 40 pounds in the front.

Hopefully I can get a hold of the guy I used to install the wheel and other ugrades.. He should be the one fixing and not me.

Why not take the opportunity to try dyna beads? You won't have to take the wheel off or have it taken off and you won't have wheel weights on it.

Did your bike have abs from the factory?

Looks like you went to a single sided brake rotor???

Is the rotor warped?

Could just be a bad balance job but I never even balanced my 21". It was dead steady all the way to 110mph
