So I am almost ready to back the bike out of the living room (yes my wife rocks) after painting the inner fairing. Everything works BUT all the controls on right handlebar! I swear if I can't afford to pay someone it isn't happening to the bike. Any suggestions? I didn't have to unhook anything when I had the switch apart that I can remember. Thanks in advance!
I guess you can try to loosen everything on the right bar and see if anything works while its loose and in case you pinched a wire. Otherwise pull off the front fairing and check that your connectors are fully seated. Could have been pulled loose without knowing it. Hope it works out to be something simple.
Took the switch assy. apart and still no luck. What am I lookin for when I take the outer fairing back off? Specific harness? I had a orange wire by the headlamp assy that I couldnt find where it goes but I cant believe that would be it. Going to be 80 tomorrow so it is driving me nuts! Thanks guys.
Did you unplug or rewire any wires or did you just do the inner fairing? I had two wires reversed when I just did my inner and handlebars. Take the outer fairing off and take your time and go over everything logically. If you get pissed, walk away.
Since you lost everything from the right side I would aim for that harness connector. Try to follow the wire bundles out of the handle bar hole. Pretty sure that connector will be on the fairing bracket. Unmate it/remate it and make sure it locks in place.
I can't understand why pulling the inner fairing would have anything to do with the handlebar switches? Did you have the bars off too?
On a somewhat related note, I had to disassemble my left side switch today to correct a pinched wire that the dealer was nice enough to give me. What a pain in the ***!
Sounds as if you accidentally pulled apart a connector. Just go over it real carefully. I would disconnect then reconnect each plug until found. Good luck.

The handle bar switches are connected to a harness that run through the bars then connects to the main harness at the fairing bracket. Everything gets man handled in order to get the inner fairing removed and reinstalled. Since he lost everything on that harness I would think it has something to do with that interconnect.
The connector is located on the fairing bracket near the right speaker.
