i have been using speedy aluminum polish and cleaner for about 7 years, then rims on my roadking look like chrome , just didn my lower fork legs after removing all the clear coat and they look like chrome also

i'm not sure if harley still uses a clear coating over their aluminum wheels. i'd be interested to find out if they still do, but it doesn't look like they do from the texture of the surface. powdercoating would be another option. that stuff is really durable.

My 09 Ultra did not have clear coat on the wheels or lower legs. Mothers powerball.

Harley does not use clearcoat on their wheels.

Chrome wheels are no bargain they need to cleaned as much or hey look like **** and then the chrome will start to flake. For the truly lazy I would suggest powder coating he wheels, just wash it like it was paint when it gets dirty. Other wise man up and clean your ****en wheels!!!

I have felt your pain!!!!

Keeping the oxidation off of the aluminum is a pain in the azz, especially with 28 spokes.

As other have posted I fixed the problem with only 5 chrome spokes to clean.
