I am looking to replace my stock hand controls with chrome ones. having never done this before I didnt know there were different diameter handle bars. Does anyone know for sure what size the handlebars on a 97 FLHX are? And if you have chrome controls, what kind are they and where did you get them. I want good quality chrome.

If you have the factory bars, they should be 1"

 

Ditto above. And, you can go to a larger size as the clamp and grip areas will be tapered to accept stock parts.
