I think you're all under a misconception here. Mustang doesn't offer leather at all. I looked into it when I bought my first Mustang seat, assuming I had to have leather. I ended up buying the Mustang anyway, and now I'm on my second Mustang seat. I'm still satisfied.
My wife loves the Mustang solo with wide pillion, she has had to put her butt on a Corbin, a C&C, the stock unit and a custom I got from a friend at work to try, all failed out to the Mustang. All Vinyl, rides easy with good support, I won't look any further for a leather or different unit anymore.
Had a mustang on the RKC for almost 3 years and it just wasn't what I expected. Severe monkey butt on 500 mile days, and it seem to never get broke in. Quality of the seat was good but fitment wasn't, left a small gap in the front I couldn't get rid of. Went to Sundowner and it's much more comfortable. But, all asses are different
I just got my Mustang Regal for my Limited. I haven't put but about 100 miles on it and it seems to be a great seat. like someone said call Mustangi'm sure they'd like to know why your disapointed.
They called me twice and 3 emails so far.

I had three mustang seats on metrics cruisers, Intruder 750, Road star and royal star. They are not leather, not sure they ever have been. The seats for em were the best upgrade I could have made on the bikes for distance riding. I was leaning towards replacing my stock seat on my limited, but I actually like the seat and I have the back rest so I will ride it this season and make my decision. I have always thought that they make a great seat and the material they make it out of is some kind of vinyl that has a leather like aged surface. I think it looks good, but for me the comfort was just hard to beat vs. the other metric seats that were just plaiin unbearable. I am sorry that you dont like your seat, they have always been great for me. Hope you find one that makes you comfy.
