see now, i guess im too picky, just dont know. i paid 205 for my BAL-1 and im not really that happy with the brightness. i thought it would be so much brighter. i have it at the highest setting and the flashing for the stop is cool, but not as bright as i thought it would be. i have been thinking about getting the BAL2, ive read it is three times brighter...
Hog, have you compared it while setting next to a stock brake light? Everything I have read about them say theu are loads brighter than anything else on the market. It makes me wonder if you got a lemon.

how many have the BAL-1 vs. BAL-2???
Where did you hear that?
I have a BAL-3ST... is it brighter yet? Just kidding. I think all 4-LED versions are the same. You want brighter, they make a 12-LED version.
Mine is as bright as I'd want it, and I have it at the middle setting.
Riders behind me find it to be very bright as well.
