Shock Differences
I have had my 05 RK lowered since I bought it and just have never been happy with the ride. I ride mostly solo but ride 2 up on weekends and really load the bike up for a couple of trips each year. I have tried the Harley lowered shocks and progressive 440s with both the regular and HD springs. I just can't find a lowered shock that is good for all situations.
I'm thinking of going back to stock height and noticed that something must have changed in 2009 because Harley lists 2 different shocks based on years. I see a lot of newer shocks on EBay, will they fit on my 2005?

Recent shocks will fit your bike. There are stock length and shorter Street Glide ones. Shorter shocks are out there that will give you a good quality ride when 2-up. Howard at Motorcycle Metal is a HDF sponsor and will custom build you a pair of Ohlins. There are a lot of very happy customers on here, including me! You won't believe just how good they are. Yep Ohlins are the cure, give howard a call. Do some searching here and get informed on options like I did, I have settled on Ohlins, buy once and be happy.
