If it was dropped valve I think you would have loud noise. Probably something in the primary area. Did you try pushing it backwards to roll the motor. The compensator being loose can sound like valve train noise also. I have seen that happen. If you get it to free up you still have to find out what happened. I wouldn't attempt to start it until then. Good luck.
if push starting the bike twisted the crank,it would never stand up to an electric starter.. (less of)same forces in place..if it would roll backwards it sounds like a dropped valve.if not??sounds pretty bad ether way. hopefully it is just something loose and in the primary chain...a lot easier/cheaper to fix
Got a feeling the comp bolt came loose, wedging the comp and chain inside the primary. By the way, the starter turns on the clutch hub not the compensator. Let us know what is found.
Dealer is draging there feet even looking at it. Was going to be heading home today, but at this point who knows.
Plugs looked fine, i hope it is just the primary. My warranty expires tomorrow and that would be covered. The service guy said if it is the motor and because i put cams in it it would not be covered.

unfortuneately if the dealeris being a jerk thtat won't be hard to do unless they are epa approved cams installed by the dealer. I know it might be chicken sh*t but once non epa approved stuff goes in it is fair game for the moco to deny warranty. The car manufacturers are doing it for performance chips. My buddy had a tranny in his new dodge pickup go out and it was brand new and they denied it because he had chipped it. He tried to fight it and lost.
