I would appreciate anyones help on installing this along with any "don't forget to do this" info. Never been inside the fairing. Will return the favor one day for a Float Trip when you make it to Alaska. You have to supply your own Patron for the evening BBQ
The ISimple IS77 is in the snail mail and I wanted to knock the cobbwebs loose prior to its arrival so the missus would think I am smarter than I act most of the time. I plan to use this to play music from an IPhone that is strictly for music. For me since it says it is I Simple does not make it I Easy for me. I will be dusting off the Flyrods....Thanks
I use the FM Modulator for my SIRIUS radio. I don't want or like the wires outside the fairing and stickng to the radio. I used Velcro to stick the body of the Modulator to the inside of the fairing. Just keep the wires ties down. This will keep any vibration from breaking the wires. Keep the length as short as possible. I folded the wires short and tied them down. It makes the music clear and easy to switch between the Terrestrial radio and Satellite.
Pops, What year is your Ultra? Maybe it doesn't have an aux input jack. What brand of modulator are you using?
I had an FM modulator on an older iPod that simply plugged into the iPod headphone jack and broadcast on whatever channel I selected. In rural areas, I never had any issues with interference and I suspect Pops wouldn't have them either in Alaska.
I'll be up there in June if you need help and being from Texas, I love BBQ!
I would assume you plug it into the "aux" plug on the stereo and go from there, similar to an MP3.
So when should I pack my bags?
LOL!
Sallyman...its not that simple. The Aux Plug allows the plug to wiggle which ten causes to tunes to cut out. I have asked numerous folks on the forum what do and it was either this fix or replacing the radio with another brand. By the way this is my second replacement at the dealers expense.....
