I have dealt with MR and they are not a bad outfit by any means. They got me Kawi parts no other dealer could, stuff for Non US bikes that I wanted for mine.
P's me off to no end when the MoCo goes after the small guys who understand it is about the bikes, not the clothing sales. Hopefully they can stay open as an Indy and keep the local guys bikes running. In the mean time the bean counters are running things into the ground again.
Most thought after Gene Lummus died both shops would be sold. Guess they were correct. Word is his son Travis will keep the shop open in Waynesville as an independent dealer.
Mr. Doug Rudd of MR Honda with dealerships both in Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC will close the deal on the Swannanoa store this month.
Not sure if he purchased just the dealership or both dealership and the property. Nevertheless, Doug is a very nice young man and an asset to the motorcycle community.
