OTH, some bikes, like a late 90's Heritage Softail Springer, are still worth 80-90% of what they sold for new.
Bottom line: I bought mine to enjoy, and what it's worth at trade in time is what it is.
How about in this case because it's not BS. Dealers have this information. It's exactly what my dealer told me. Other than they said the radio situation is up in the air.

Them, HD, upgrading the motors 88 to 96 to 103 and I'm sure in years to come 110 does not make me want to run out and upgrade my 08.
BMW and the Goldwing have had major upgrades done to them for the current year.

If ya want "custom/personal", buy a 96", black bike and have it custom painted and have Jamie do you a 107!! Done!
The limiteds are not just limited to engine size. There is more to a them then that. Different paint and other little goodies that did nto come on a stock model. Oh you could order some non limiteds with the 103 powerpack. Big deal, you get a couple more hp and a couple more ftlbs of torque for a bunch of extra cash. Could have saved the extra cash and done an aftermarket big bore with cams and had an even better running rig for less money.
Upping the displacement is relatively easy from a manufacturing and tooling perspective, and it's really not that impressive of an improvement, but it is the HD progression protocol, until a new engine design is released. If your concern is owning something, limited, custom, or otherwise unique, then build something yourself. Do folks actually buy a bike with the resale value being a significant concern? But I thought my production bike that anyone can buy was special. Nope, its just another fuel burning, noise making, recreational vehicle, go ride it and get out of it what it was designed for, enjoyment. If you can keep your bike completely stock and in pristine condition for 50 years, it might be special someday.
It kinda makes sence, production wise, Why have three production lines running (96, 103, & 110) when you can jack the price of the bike for the 103 and do away with the 96 prduction line.

Maybe the new three will be 103, 110, and select models with a tone down street version of the 120R.
There is nothing "limited" or special about any bike that HD makes, including CVOs. It's just varying trim levels. It's a stock bike in any form no matter what people think. About the 103, Harley has been introducing "special features" on "special" bikes one year and the next year making it standard since the dawn of time...
Just buy the bike that speaks to you and don't worry about the resale.
