Totally ignored him. Had he been a member of the Harley Advisory Board (as I am) he would have received the same information directly from the MOCO.
I get the Honda stuff instead ..... Every year some of you come on here and tell us you know exactly what H/D is doing but when show time comes around its all different ?
I guess maybe my reply should have been ... WHO CARES ?.. Ill go now and I wont be back to your thread and yes do a search cause there are others that seem to know more than you ? and they didnt say anything about an advisory board ?.. Have a nice day ! I did I went riding .....
The limiteds are not just limited to engine size. There is more to a them then that. Different paint and other little goodies that did nto come on a stock model.
Yes, I know, I have one. My point is with the motor
I bought my 08 SG in March 08 and the change over to the new frame was not anticipated or predicted by these forums until the MOCO rolled them out. IMO all this speculation is BS until the MOCO rolls it out. Seems like they can hold a secret better than some of the intel agencies.
If you bought the limited thinking it was special because of the motor then . Victory has a bigger engine standard and Harley has to at least pretend to keep up.
My 2011 touring bike came with the 103, abs and cruise standard. It's called a Limited. Are you saying they are completely doing away with the 96" motor in the touring line and only having one motor? If that's the case expect the price to increase too. Pretty stupid on their part to not offer the 103 as an option so they can gig you for the upgrade. Now they will just raise the price and share the cost with everyone. Probably cheaper for them to only produce one motor though and probably doesn't cost them any more to produce the 103.
Wonder if they would credit me for the radio..hhhhhmmmm.....Knock a grand off and keep there junk.....That was the first thing to go on my limited.....
The only way to get your moneys worth is to keep your bike for a long time.Don't worry about the changes,as it seems to happen almost every year now.My buddy has a 06 ultra and is just as happy with it as the day he got it.Having said this I have not taken my own advice untill now . I will keep my 2011 limited for a long time no matter what they come out with.Thats just how I feel at this point in my life.Be thankful for what you have. There are things on the limited that I won't use very often but I love it.
The days of Harleys GAINING value ended about 15 years ago.
It's just a bike, guys. Ride the damn thing and enjoy it. You can't take it with you when you die, and the moment you took it off the lot, it devalued about 5 grand.
