Default anti lock brake problem

I would hate to be the owner (or rider) of it though, not ever knowing when or if it would stick again (if indeed that is what is causing the issue) and cause a no stopping condition.
I am having same problem 2009 Ultra

Not an uncommon problem. My 2011 RKC had same problem, front brake/abs module circuit. Replaced abs module, bled, all is good. The proper way to bleed is with Digital Tech at dealer. I was lucky and a have contact that did it for free, aka nice lunch, and gets nice discounts on hd parts. Otherwise, I probably would have attempted to bleed it without DT. Worst case then would be to take it to a dealer and pay them to bleed system.

The other alternative would be to get new brake lines and bypass the abs crap. This was very tempting as these abs units are inferior to anything else on the planet.

Sometimes old school non ABS is the way to go but I really like the linked brakes on the new bikes. Pretty scary when you consider the limited protection available on a motorcycle if the brakes fail.

Same issue on my 2010 UC. Changes HCU and rear MC. $800 bucks later and its fine now. You guys should report it to NHTSA. Maybe a recall is in order.

Having the same problem with my 2012 v-rod, rear brake pedal hard as rock, this should be a recall, thinking about going non abs in the back.
